Zhu Hong, a Singaporean citizen of Chinese origin, is an artist and educator. Holding a degree in Architecture, he previously worked in related fields before dedicating himself fully to art in 2011. He now teaches visual art at Ngee Ann Polytechnic and actively contributes to the local arts scene. Zhu Hong's artistic journey began with an early interest nurtured by an encouraging teacher. Though he pursued Architecture in university, he found solace and expression in painting, particularly during his early years in Singapore. His watercolour paintings, characterized by vibrant colours and playful distortions of architectural elements, offer a unique and contemporary perspective on cityscapes and street scenes.
