“What makes a good painting?”
Everyone has their own answers but mine is fairly simple:
“Sincerity and honesty”.
When a painting is painted from the heart, it exudes a natural sense of harmony and joy. This is the reason why children’s art are so beautiful to behold.
I try to explore new subjects, new techniques or even just new paint-colours whenever I can. Like a child holding a colouring pencil for the first time, it is important for us to possess a sense of curiosity and wonder when we hold our brushes.
As the hustle and bustle if life surrounds us, let us just take a moment to pause and enjoy these simple paintings. I hope you experience the same calm and joy as I did when I was painting them.
