Wong Tze Chau
I love art since young and my background in architecture has been keeping me in touch with the world of art and design. It was in 2010 when I started to paint seriously after being influence by the philosophy of Friedrich Schiller. He claimed that creative arts can transform human spirit and I was curious to see how it works. While working as a part time lecturer at Republic Polytechnic I devoted most of my time on painting.
Since 2011 I have participated in some group shows in Singapore, Thailand and India. There was a breakthrough in 2018 as I had my first solo show at a commercial gallery in Singapore. After two attempts I was overjoyed to win the UOB Painting of the Year (established category) in 2019.
