Darting with Bolts, Skylarking with Plasma is the eight painting from BODHI’s Mixtape Astrochemistry series.

Artworks from this series aim to portray the artist’s interests in EDM (Electronic Dance Music) through psychoacoustic methods to assign different moods and themes from specific EDM tracks into visual artworks, creating the artist’s own versions of cover art or visualizer art for those specific tracks.

Darting with Bolts, Skylarking with Plasma is particularly inspired by the first drop from the track ‘XLR8’ by REAPER @reapernoises [Bassrush Records Release]. This painting is also in conjunction with Singapore’s 57th National Day with subjects within the painting aiming to portray Singapore as a contemporary hub for play and subculture.
