Connected Gardens: A Dialogue Between Art and Nature in Ingrid Haubrich’s Work
Argentine artist Ingrid Haubrich’s “Connected Gardens” exhibition, inspired by Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay, showcases her deep connection with the city. Her work captures the blend of modernity and nature found in Singapore, reinterpreting Gardens by the Bay’s futuristic landscapes through vibrant colours and textures.
Presented at Gallery 1819 with the Argentine Embassy in Singapore, the exhibition also features her “Tides” and “Springbreak” series. “Tides” explores water’s transformative power, while “Springbreak” celebrates the vitality of blooming flowers, reflecting Singapore’s appreciation for nature’s beauty and renewal.
Haubrich’s art invites viewers to explore a space where water, land, and flora are in constant transformation, highlighting themes of change and resilience. She notes Singapore’s unique ability to intertwine nature and innovation, inspiring her work and this exhibition’s focus on the cycles of nature and rebirth.
