Thomas Yeo Exhibition
11 Nov 2019
After been an artist for almost 60 years since his first solo exhibition at the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 1960, 1984 Cultural Medallion recipient, Thomas Yeo, is currently a retired prominent local artist.
On show now at our gallery is seven of his Gouache landscape paintings which he had painted from 2013 to 2017. They illustrated images garnered from his constant travels. Having his works being described as “highly imaginative landscapes of the unconscious mind,” Thomas rendered his own form of these landscapes onto rice paper.
Introduced Western ideas through the impressions of Asia can also be found noticeably in the presented art pieces.
