A month dedicated to celebrating art and creativity using watercolour, Gallery1819 warmly presents World Watercolour Month Exhibition, where artists express their art pieces through a shared medium.
A nostalgic revisit into our daily life through the eyes of watercolourists, Alicia Tan and Lisa Huang bring us on a journey as they explore prominent Singapore landmarks and the bustling streets of Hong Kong.
Alicia Tan
Alicia Tan is a Singaporean artist who does watercolour paintings. Doodling since she was a child, art has always been a big part in Alicia’s life. Under her childhood mentor Mr Yap Tay Soon, she learned various Western art forms such as pencil sketch, charcoal drawing, watercolour, acrylic and oil painting.
Having a long list of achievements that include, the Excellent Award for the International Masters of Watercolour Alliance (IMWA) 2022, UK SAA Artists of the Year 2021, Finalist for 2nd Annual Women in Watercolour International Juried Competition, and First prize for Fremantle 2020 Plein Air competition. She is a Member of the Singapore Watercolour Society since 2018, Alicia is currently serving as Treasurer (2021 to present) and also part of SWS Jury of Judges (2021 to present).

Lisa Huang
Lisa Huang is a Singaporean artist with a professional background in interior architecture design, and is a self-taught artist using oil, water-colour and print making. With an experience of 20 years in design she applies her sense of perspective drawings, textures and juxtaposition in her works.
Ever since her relocation to Hong Kong she has been obsessed with painting the city, the grit and glam, chaos and calm. She spent every available weekend sketching and painting plein-air.
Lisa has participated in the Affordable Art Fair and Young Art Taipei, her works have been collected in Asia and Europe.
